Welcome to Michigan, Shad!

Now that we have been home for two weeks, I will finally start posting some pictures of Shad since we have been home. It took us 2 1/2 days to drive from Utah to Michigan. (Pre-baby days it used to take us just over one). Every time we stopped it was over an hour each time. Shad struggles when it comes to eating. Anyway, we pulled up to our house at 5:00 in the morning. It was still kind of dark, lightly snowing, and quiet. As we walked up to our porch we noticed that our neighbors had decorated welcoming Shad to our family. They also had a key to our house and had stocked our fridge with food and left some very sweet presents and notes on our counter. It was so touching. We seriously have the best neighbors ever! Here is a little collage of what they did:

The crib that was purchased for us by an amazing angel was also sitting in a box when we walked in. Even though we were so dead tired, Jared was really excited to set up the crib, so he did that while Shad slept in his car seat and I slept on the couch. I snapped a photo of him:

What a cutie!

The day after we got home we went over to our friends the Anderson's house to tell all of our "Cedarwood" friends Shad's story. There are four babies in Cedarwood right now all within 5 months of each other. We lined them up from youngest to oldest. So stinkin' cute! Shad is also the only boy child in Cedarwood right now. Jared joked that the only way we could get a boy in Cedarwood is to smuggle one in. ;) (Notice how he is the only one not looking at the camera. Typical boy.

Now I will just post a bunch of random pictures and video clips I have taken on my phone lately.

Here is a clip of Shad giggling:

First pair of hockey skates

Chillin' in the jacuzzi

Hanging with dad

Wearing Jared's hat-- a little too big?
Cute bathrobe someone gave him

Love these chubby feet

Reading medical books with dad

3 months and already holding his own bottle!

Jared bought him a bunch of sports clothes. Go Wings!
More giggles

Well that is all for now. It's getting late and I spent an hour and a half getting this kid to bed tonight. I'm pooped!
