It was still pretty, at least we weren't in the middle of a dessert.
Jared set up our ginormous tent.
Then he practiced his golf swing for a little while.
By this time we were already bored of our campsite, so we drove down the street and played some miniature golf.
There were giant spiderwebs and spiders everywhere on this bridge at the miniature golf place. It was way gross!
Then we went back to the campsite and roasted marshmallows, hot dogs, and starbursts on the fire. Yum! (Note to self: fires are definitely not the same in Michigan.) Everything is so wet so not only does it take longer to start, but it takes a lot more to keep it going, and everything you cook on it will melt in about 15 seconds. No joke. Well, we went to sleep in our tent, (didn't need any blankets) and woke up the next morning drenched in sweat. Mmmm. We decided we needed to go swimming. So we drove the couple miles to Lake Michigan, and we did not regret it. It was beautiful. The sand was so soft and it was almost like being on a beach at the ocean, except better because when waves hit you it didn't taste like salt. AND, no sharks, stingrays, or jelly fish. (My biggest fear when we lived in San Diego)
Didn't get any pics of me and Jared together though because I set the camera down right after taking these and we swam the afternoon away. It was so much fun! (Tell that to our sunburned skin...) Maybe next time I'll be better about taking pictures of us. You can never have too many!
