So I ran a half marathon yesterday in Dearborn, MI with a few people in my ward (Doug, Karen and Emily). It was called the Martian Marathon. It wasn't like any other race I've ever run. The trees were all dead, we ran partly on the freeway, next to a bunch of construction sites, and there were aliens everywhere (mostly inflatable ones) but some people running dressed up like aliens, including one kid who was in a full spandex bright green jumpsuit that covered even his face. Weird. But the real freaky part? My race bib number was the EXACT same number on my race bib from the Ogden Marathon last year.... (psycho music playing.....) What are the odds of that?!
Anyway, it was still fun, and I got a cool t-shirt and metal out of it.
Cute Jessica (Doug's wife) is 8 months pregnant and was there to cheer us all on despite the freezing cold weather. She's the one who took these pictures. This was the start of the race. I look like a total dork, I saw her and I think I was just about to wave to her. Oh well.

Way to go on the race! You and Jared are so cute and fun. I am so glad you are having a great time out there. Love the cruise pics and the race sounds hilarious!
Yep, you were just about to wave and I think you look darling!!!
Wasn't it so satisfying to find out it really was .3 miles too long?! Well.. satisfying at first and then really frustrating...
I'm so proud of you! And that really is freaky.... what are the odds?!
