Portland!!

Jared and I went to a conference in Portland last weekend for student government. It was such a blast and so nice to be able to have a little break from school and work. We basically just watched one giant concert of comedians and music for four days straight, with a few educational sessions in between. It was a good time.

No need for an explanation in this one. Ha ha

We rode the MAX everywhere, one of the days we skipped out on some of the educational sessions and went downtown and went shopping. Awesome!

We also skipped another session and went to Voodoo donuts. It was so cool! I got a donut with Butterfingers pieces on top. Jared got one with oreos and peanut butter. They all had really dirty names, but it was really funny. While we were in there, a lady was rolling a big fat doobie right outside the store. Ha ha No wonder they had the "Keep Portland Weird" sign...

The only bad thing about this trip was that they kept us out til 1 in the morning each night and then expected us to be back at 9 for more sessions. We all got really worn out, and Jared ended up getting really sick right after we got home on Sunday.(I'm pretty sure he had the swine flu, he had a really high fever, aches, and a horrible cough.) Luckily he's taken it easy the past couple days and he's slept a ton so his body can fight this off. I think this is the first time I've ever seen him let himself recover from being sick. He deserves it!

Fun. I think we saw that voodoo doughnut shop on a food network show! Did they have a doughnut that looked like a voodoo doll with a little knife in it's heart? So weird right??

And, I like the Weber State sweat shirt designs. Very cute. :)

Yeah, our advisor saw it too, that's why we went there. They did have the voodoo doll with a pretzel through its heart. It was crazy! And Jared designed those sweatshirts. Cool, huh?
