WHY?!

I can't understand why people steal. How can you feel good about taking someone else's personal things? I have only two explanations. Either they are pure evil, or they are not in their right mind, most likely from drugs or some mental disorder. Both are possible. If you are wondering why I'm posting this, here is why:

Jared's mom called him last night because the boy scout office called her, telling her someone called them an said they found Jared's boyscout uniform in a dumpster. That, along with a lot of other stuff was in our storage unit. So Jared went to go check out our unit and sure enough, someone had cut a hole in the sheet rock that was betweenour unit and someone else's. The other person's unit wasn't broken into, but it was half empty. We're not sure, but Jared thinks the place next to us was empty for a long time and he's thinking someone went to go "look" at it and got the combination. Then they waited a while, and when someone moved in they got in to it, and then cut the hole and started taking things from ours too. They took all of Jared's baseball and basketball cards, his Sammy Sosa signed baseball, and a bunch of other stuff from when Jared was younger. We're not exactly sure what else yet, but there's a big chunk of boxes missing, so I guess we'll find out when we move and open all the boxes.

I know we're not the first people who have had something stolen from them. When I think about it it's kind of silly compared to what other people have been through. Ashley's car got stolen when they had James at the hospital, and I think Jared's parents have had it worse than anyone I know. They're out hundreds of thousands of dollars because people are so dishonest. I just can't figure it out. It just makes me so sad that no one can trust anyone anymore. This world is full of dirty people who steal and lie and don't feel any remorse for it. Is there any hope for us anymore? I hope so...
