1. They don't allow pets. I don't know what I'm going to do with my cute kitty. I've sort of grown attached to him this past year. If anyone knows of someone who wants a cat, let me know.
2. It is very ugly. The carpet is disgusting and crunchy. He said he just got it cleaned, but I don't know what his definition of "cleaned" really was. (Probably just ran a vacuum over it.) The worst part is that he wont let us paint or put in better carpet. Oh well, at least it's a roof over our head and DEFINITELY not permanent. Here are some pics of our new 70's home:
This is our awesome carpet.
Here is the cool sparkly (probaby asbestos) ceiling
This is the sweet light that is in our front room. (Funny but kind of sad: The comcast guy who came to set our tv up bumped his head on it. It's really spiky I'm surprised he didn't cut his head open on it.)
Here is our awesome orange door. (I blacked out the number on it..)
And here is our mailbox, kinda cute I guess.
As you can see, the colors all go very well with the fall theme, but I'm not sure how good it's going to look during all the other seasons. Any ideas on how to make it look somewhat pleasing to the eye?

Yay for cooking real food again! If you can't find anyone to take in your kitty, let us know.
I know apartments are never fun, but it is your own place and you can cook whatever you want and spread out. I am happy for you guys!
I am so excited for you to live by us! Church is at 9am on Sunday... I teach Primary but Kate will be there to sit by you in Relief Society. I'll see you tonight at the big bash!

Yay for new apartments. I am so happy for you!!
How can you even tell if that carpet is dirty? It is so... colorful
I think my friend Angie and her husband lived in those apartments when they were first married, too. Shweet! All I can say as far as helping with the decor is go WITH the color and accesorize accesorize! Good luck!
you'll love it! Freedom! Pier One always has cute stuff that goes with orange... maybe you can cuten it up. If not - just remember that you'll be able to tell your kids, "when Dad and I were first married we lived in this tiny, crunch carpeted...." Oh the memories you'll have.
If you still need a place for your kitty, shoot me an email. It is ldsgirl1982@hotmail.com
Well, you know we've had our share of ugly apartments too. It's just part of being young newlyweds.:) It'll make for good memories and pics!
