Vegas Baby!

Jared had a dental convention on Friday and Saturday at UNLV, and it happened to fall on the same weekend Ash and Jud were planning on being in Vegas. So we made a weekend of it and we had a blast. Jared and I stayed in the Stratosphere the first two nights while Ash and Jud were in Zions. It was very convenient because it was about 2 blocks from UNLV so I just drove Jared there both mornings and then did my own thing while he was gone. The first day I didn't really do anything except run on the treadmill that over-looked the pool and watched ginormous ladies in bikinis by the pool while doing so. It made me want to never stop running! (Oh and I watched like 3 episodes of Law and Order in the hotel room. :) ) I was too scared to drive anywhere. The people aren't very nice on the road. If you don't go half a second after the lights turn green, people honk at you and speed up and flip you off. The second day I conquered my fear Las Vegas traffic and drove a couple blocks to the mall and shopped all day. Then we met up with Ash and Jud after Jared got done at the school. We walked around for a while and took some pictures (well Ash did because, as usual, I forgot my camera). That night we ate at a big buffet in the Luxor where we stayed with Ash and Jud the last two nights. On Sunday we had a very busy day. Jared and I listened to one of those time share presentations so we could get tickets to the human body exhibit and the roller coaster on top of the New York New York hotel. We went straight to the human body exhibit, followed by an Imax film about the deep sea, followed by dinner, followed by our ride on the roller coaster. It was totally worth sitting through the time share thing for!
Ah, how romantic!

The famous Bellagio
And...yes... gambling...AGAIN. That $2 was totally worth throwing away though. It's all for a good cause, right? ;)
I look like I fit in with the rest of the crowd...STONED!

How fun! It's so cool that you got to do that with the four of you. I hope you got to go to the M&M and Coke Factories. Those are always Vegas standards for me! Fun times!

How great that you got to do a sibling get-together! I'm just glad that you got a new post on your blog - I don't have to look at The Cure every time I bring it up! Love, MKG

Good job daring to go out in Vegas traffic. I probably would have just stayed in the hotel the whole time! Looks like you guys had a lot of fun.
